Handal

Marte Handal is senior physician and senior researcher at the Department of Mental Disorders, Norwegian Institute of Public Health. She is specialist in clinical pharmacology, and her research focuses on use and effects of various medications in vulnerable populations, such as pregnant women and children. She is the PI of a Scandinavian Pregnancy cohort study based on registry data, which has focus on long-term effects for the child of opioid maintenance treatment (OMT) of pregnant women.
